Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the SATRANG Next-Gen Satellite Data Engine. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using SATRANG ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

2. Description of Service

SATRANG provides a cloud-native satellite data analysis platform including, but not limited to:

• Access to multi-source satellite imagery (Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, Landsat 8/9)
• On-demand geospatial index computation (NDVI, NDWI, NDBI, EVI)
• AI-powered land cover classification and change detection
• REST API access for programmatic data retrieval and task submission
• GeoTIFF download of analysis-ready raster outputs

3. User Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a binding contract to use SATRANG. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials and API keys.
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access or use of your account.
• Take responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service in any way that:

• Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
• Attempts to circumvent rate limits, API quotas, or security measures.
• Involves scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading satellite data beyond your plan limits.
• Resells or redistributes access to the SATRANG API or data without prior written consent.
• Is used for surveillance, tracking individuals, or any activity that violates the privacy of others.

5. Intellectual Property

The SATRANG platform, its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of SATRANG Technologies and its licensors. The underlying satellite imagery is governed by the licenses of the respective data providers (ESA Copernicus Open Access, USGS Landsat Public Domain).

Analysis outputs (GeoTIFFs, statistics, visualizations) that you generate using the platform are owned by you, subject to compliance with these Terms.

6. Rate Limits & Fair Usage

Each plan tier carries defined API rate limits and concurrent task quotas. Exceeding these limits will result in HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) responses. Persistent, intentional circumvention of rate limits is grounds for immediate account suspension.

7. Service Availability & SLA

We target 99.9% platform uptime for Enterprise plan customers, as governed by a separate Service Level Agreement. Free and Pro plans are provided on a best-effort basis. We reserve the right to perform scheduled maintenance with adequate advance notice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. SATRANG does not warrant that satellite data will be 100% accurate, cloud-free, or available for every geographic location. Geospatial analysis results should be validated against ground-truth data before use in critical decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SATRANG Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes, without limitation, damages for business decisions made based on satellite analysis outputs.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, a third party, or the integrity of the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
